MEAA Outreach Table
Staffing the MEAA outreach table at conferences and events is a meaningful way to connect with fellow educators, build alliances, and raise awareness about antisemitism in schools and communities. Volunteers engage in supportive conversations, share practical resources for addressing antisemitism in the classroom, and help create a visible, welcoming presence for educators seeking guidance or solidarity.

We distribute materials such as “Stand Up to Hate” pins, curated book lists, and—when available—donated books that educators can use in their teaching.
If you have gently used PJ Library books or other Jewish children’s books you no longer need, we gratefully accept donations to share with teachers.
If you are interested in volunteering at an upcoming event or contributing materials, we would love to hear from you. Please contact us using the button below and put "MEAA table" in the subject line.
Get Involved In the Union
Your voice matters — and you don’t have to speak alone. Getting involved in the MTA or in your local union is a powerful way to ensure that Jewish educators and allies are heard, represented, and supported.
Many of us were not fully aware of what was happening within our union until it was almost too late. Since then, we have learned how the union works, built relationships with allies, and discovered that educators truly can make a difference when we show up together.
You can get involved by speaking at meetings, serving as a guest speaker at board meetings, sharing information with your local association, running for a leadership or board position, or attending the Annual Meeting to vote on key issues and MTA leadership. Whether you are a new educator, a veteran teacher, or retired, your participation strengthens our collective voice.
Join us. Stand with fellow educators. Help ensure that Jewish voices are present wherever decisions are being made. If you are ready to get involved, we would love to connect with you.

If you need support, resources, or guidance — or if you have an idea, concern, or initiative you would like to share — please reach out. Your voice, experiences, and insights matter, and we welcome your involvement. Whether you’re looking for help, hoping to collaborate, or simply want to connect, we are here to listen and to work together. No contribution is too small, and no concern is insignificant — this community grows stronger when we support one another.
